Whisky Live Paris – Days 2 and 3
September 29th, 2009 by admin
Quieter than yesterday but this gave us the opportunity to take longer with each person and tell them about us and introduce them to the wonderful experience of our mature products and of course surprising them with the new spirit drinks.
“The Spirit Drink that dare not speak its name” was likened to many as a top quality Eau-de Vie Pear and anyone who has not tried it but knows and enjoys eau-de-vie should try and obtain a bottle of spirit drink and compare it. I would be very interested in any comments.
Lots of interest in the octave casks purchase and as I said in the last blog we have also launched the 250 club so a number of brochures for this opportunity were taken.
La Maison du Whisky had a VIP tasting of our 30 and 40 year olds which was very well attended and gave many people the opportunity to hear an independent view of our whiskies endorse the many opinions that both of these products are of the highest quality.
At night we enjoyed a meal with the rest of the exhibitors and the staff of LMdW who, I have to say, organise a very good event and work hard to ensure that there is a minimum of problems and the event runs smoothly. It certainly did for us and I have to thank them for their efforts and their organisational skills.
Day 3 was a quieter day again with just trade and press but once again it allowed Graham and I to continue the education process and I hope that we have many more people in France that know of Glenglassaugh and understand and appreciate the quality products which we produce at Glenglassaugh.
Overall then it was an excellent weekend and I am looking forward to moving onto Amersfoort this coming weekend.
Au revoir

Dear Stuart,
Willim Huang on 10.25.09so sorry that I am late to reply to you.
I think your Paris travel is wonderful.
I wish there will be more people could know of Glenglassaugh , especially Taiwanese.
The Man in the picture , it’s you ?
By the way, I hope you could forgive my poor English .
Wish you have a nice day !
Good Morning William,
admin on 10.25.09Thank you for the very nice comments. I am very keen for us to more readily available throughout the world with Asia and Taiwan being target markets, hopefully I may get out there in 2010.
The one with the beard in the latest blog is myself and it was taken when I was manager at Glenrothes as I also had responsibility for Glenglassaugh. I was presenting one of the warehouse team who was based at the distillery with a 25 Year Service Award, Jim Mills who was a cooper and who has since sadly passed away although his daughter now owns a pub in the town called The Ship Inn, which is very popular.
